Are you rolling your eyes at the title of this post? Stop it! Keep an open mind and bare with me… hair contouring is a thing, and it’s a good thing. Franck Provost Paris reached out to tell me about their new tecnique called ‘Indian Sun’, and as soon as they mentioned it was low-maintenance and natural looking, I quickly made an appointment to try it out.
Nothing like the prospect of a fresh start (i.e. the new year), to get your butt into gear and do what you’ve been putting off for months or perhaps years. That’s right, it’s time to declutter your makeup collection! You’re either a) excited at the thought of passing on products that are unloved/binning items that have been breeding bacteria for yonks; or b) you’re hyperventilating at the thought of letting go of your precious makeup. Whatever may be the case, here are 5 tips that will make this arduous task a lot easier! It just takes some quick decision making and a dash of ruthlessness.
Hard to believe 2017 is around the corner. Another year done and dusted, another year of amazing beauty discoveries – and I couldn’t keep them all to myself! I always look forward to summing up of what I’ve loved the most throughout the year, and if I can do one last bit of enabling and recommend some ace products, then I’m all for it. Before we begin I thought I’d clarify that these aren’t all products released in 2016, just products that I purchased/gave more love to in the year. Now let’s get into it – grab a cuppa, it’s a long one!
You said it would be different this year, that you would be organised. That you’d beat the rush, the frantic search for a car park, the passive-aggressive elbow bumping. Alas, it’s Christmas Eve – reality sinks in – you have exactly 24 hours to finish your shopping for the happiest day of the year, yet you’re stressed and struggling, and wishing Christmas didn’t come so quickly… and you love Christmas! If this sounds awfully familiar, you need a game plan – and I’m here to help. Ten gift ideas for the beauty lover in your life, you’re welcome.
Ah, Paris. Known as the City of Lights, but also as a city to fall in love with – and how could you not, with its twinkling lights and eternal elegance. Can so much beauty be captured in a scent? If anyone could do it – and do it well – it’s French fashion powerhouse YSL. After all, they know a thing or two about Paris. Riding off their Black Opium success, YSL’s newest offering Mon Paris*, offers a modern warm sweetness that is sure to enamour.
The following statement sounds a little strange and unbelievable as I read it back. Here it is: lately I have been extremely good at not buying makeup. I’m talking about not buying new makeup for a few months… what?! While I did have a good streak, all the beautiful new launches became too much to pass up. A moment of weakness was bound to occur, and before I knew it, I was on the Sephora website. A few moments later I found myself browsing the Kylie Cosmetics website (another strange and unbelievable statement). The result? A glorious makeup haul!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a bin full of empty products on the blog. I suck at remembering to keep my empties, but I have managed to stack up a little basket of products. There is skincare, makeup, and even a deodorant… yep! I love reading empties posts, and finding out if people would re-purchase those products, so I hope you enjoy snooping in my beauty trash!
I was absolutely floored when I opened a package to see a black and white striped bag… us beauty addicts know damn well what that represents. Sephora Australia have released a list of their top notch, elite beauty products – the game changers, and I’m so excited to share them with you all! There are a few products in here I wasn’t too surprised to see as I know they’re incredible and I’ve adored them for so long; but there are also lots of new goodies I’ve been trying in the past week or so that I will share my first impressions on. Let’s see what made the team.
Would you look at that… *insert multiple love heart emojis*. I haven’t done a Sephora haul in a very long time, and I wasn’t going to post about this one but how could I not?! I love seeing haul posts so I figured I’d show you what I picked up during the VIB Rouge Sale that ran from April 7-13.
One of the biggest and most anticipated launches in beauty this year has been the NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint. I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on the sleek black tube of goodness that promised to deliver velvety-matte flawless skin. Its predecessor, the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser just didn’t do it for me, so I had high hopes for its new matte sister. I didn’t think about it too much – as soon as it released on the Mecca website, I pounced like a mad woman! I’ve been testing it out for roughly around a month, and it pains me to say I didn’t love it. In fact, I haven’t disliked a base product as much as this one since my beef with the Too Faced Born This Way foundation.
