What a month November was. All I can say is it was busy, busy, busy. I did some travelling, a bit of shopping, had my birthday just last week (turned 25 on the 25th) and work was and still is super hectic. It flew by! Before we know it Christmas will be here, exciting times!
I love to wear pastel hues all year-around, but if you are someone who loves to swap nail shades to suit the seasons, then Essie’s 2015 Spring Collection* will have everything you need for the warmer weather. Nude, pastel and vibrant hues make up a gorgeous palette that will take you right through to summer.
Although I don’t talk about skincare much on here, I am equally as obsessed with it as I am with makeup and fragrance, so it’s not surprise I love a good face mask. I am constantly trying out new ones, and in the past couple of months something weird has happened: I have put down my beloved Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask & Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask. GASP! Why? I found a new love and my loyalties lie elsewhere these days… Enter the Origins Original Skin Retexturising Mask with Rose Clay.
I was in Sydney for a short stay at the beginning of the month, and at the very top of my ‘to-do’ list was to visit Sephora. I hadn’t bought any new makeup for almost two months, so needless to say I was feeling VERY spendy! I picked up a couple of essential re-purchases, and a couple of new things.
Australian beauty lovers rejoice – the time we have all been eagerly waiting for has arrived. Sephora.com.au is now online – YAY! To celebrate the launch of the most awaited beauty website launch, I teamed up with Sephora to try out and show you a few of the goodies available. I was happy to oblige as I had never tried anything from the Sephora Collection brand and I am so impressed with the quality of the products!
Hello everyone, it’s been a while! I’ve been a terrible blogger in the month of October, can’t believe how quickly it got away and how little I managed to do on here. I’ve missed you guys! It’s not only been incredibly busy for me, I’ve also gotten into a bit of a funk – not only on my blog but on Instagram too. Lately I felt like I’ve been putting too much pressure on myself and it ended up affecting me a little bit more than I anticipated. Hopefully things will start to look up this month!
We all have a type. There are certain notes that resonate with us, and ‘coincidentally’ show up in most of the fragrances in our stash. For me, nothing beats a warm, sweet but not sickly, classy perfume. From the moment I tried Jimmy Choo Illicit Eau De Parfum*, I was instantly hooked. It fits the description of my ideal scent perfectly.
We’ve all heard about a million times how amazing the Becca highlighters really are – and for good reason, they truly are some of the best in the market. But what we don’t hear about often enough is how amazing their mineral blushes are. I think they often are overshadowed and unfortunately go unnoticed, which is a shame because they are some of the best blushes I’ve ever tried (bold statement, I know!) and they definitely deserve more recognition.
When it comes to seasonal beauty, I’m a true believer in wearing whatever you want regardless of what time of the year it is. But naturally, something about spring just makes me feel uplifted and I really look forward to swapping out my daily go-tos when the seasons change. The darker berry tones are replaced by beautiful peachy hues and bright nail polishes; the sultry, heavy scents are equally replaced for more fresh alternatives. I thought since we’re almost a month into spring, it’d be nice to share what I like to reach for on this glorious time of the year!
Oh Charlotte… Just look at these products. Have you ever seen anything more photogenic? I didn’t think so. Since releasing her makeup line in 2013, celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has been making waves in the beauty world. Her trademark rose gold packaging is resonant with high end luxury but… is it worth the money?
