Australian beauty lovers rejoice – the time we have all been eagerly waiting for has arrived. Sephora.com.au is now online – YAY! To celebrate the launch of the most awaited beauty website launch, I teamed up with Sephora to try out and show you a few of the goodies available. I was happy to oblige as I had never tried anything from the Sephora Collection brand and I am so impressed with the quality of the products!
First up is the Sephora Collection Sun Disk Bronze in Tint 2* ($25), which is the biggest bronzer I’ve seen in my life! The powder itself is quite firm and not super pigmented, but it still blends out so well and lasts throughout the day. This shade is the darker one out of the two and it does require to be built up to show up on my medium skin tone, but it is very natural looking and hard to over-do it. It’s not matte – it contains some small shimmer particles but these aren’t visible on the skin.
Next is my favourite product, the Sephora Collection Microsmooth Sculpting Trio in Sultry* ($29). This trio of baked powders comes with a bronzer, blush and highlighter. The powders are smooth, blendable and pigmented – I love them! The bronzer is not too warm and leaves a gorgeous healthy glow. The blush was what attracted me to this product initially, it reminds me of MAC Warm Soul but contains less shimmer particles and is a little bit darker. The highlighter is a beautiful vanilla shade that gives the cheekbones a natural, day appropriate sheen. If I had to recommend one Sephora Collection product, it’d be this one!
Lastly I got the Sephora Highlight Lowlight Face Contour Duo* in Light ($24). Unfortunately I had requested Medium but got sent Light by mistake. The contour end of this particular duo is way too orange in my opinion, which was a little bit disappointing. I think most skin tones might find this to be too warm. The highlight end of the duo is a light yellow shade and it really brightens the under-eye area. Although it was the wrong shade, the duo was creamy and blended out effortlessly. I’d be keen to pick up the medium shade!
They kindly threw in a mini Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel* ($18) which I briefly talked about in my October Favourites (I forgot to include it in the photos, oops!). It’s a lovely lipgloss which feels moisturising and not too sticky, I’ve been wearing it on the daily!
Overall I was very impressed with the quality of these products and I definitely want to try out more. And I can’t wait to place my first Sephora order online – so exciting!
